The True Meaning of Family
Our competitive team includes dancers from age 5 to adult, selected through an audition process that demonstrates his or her technique, showmanship and overall commitment to dance, and more importantly, to the TEAM. We compete in 3-4 regional competitions and 1 nationals event every other year. The McKenna Dance Center competes in ballet, tap, jazz, musical theater, hip hop and contemporary.
Our humble beginnings and fantastic attitude as a studio have brought us over the last 13 years to develop our team into the positive, well-trained, dedicated and supportive family we are today! We take pride in the fact that our competitive dancers are looked at as individuals, not just a spoke in a wheel, and we take into account the growth and development of each dancer.
MDC has won numerous special awards to include Studio Team Spirit accolades and Showmanship awards.
Competitive dancers in the right environment learn so much about growing as people. Dancers will find an improvement in school and time-management skills, learn about teamwork and working together, and perhaps most importantly, challenge themselves to be the best they personally can be- on the stage and off.
