Ana T. McKenna

Owner & Co-Director

Ana T. Cutting McKenna was raised in Concord, New Hampshire. She began her training at the age of two and has continued to live her love of dance for over 38 years. With a true love for children and for teaching, she has shared her passion for dance and performance all over the New England and New York areas. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications from Saint Bonaventure University and has taught dance to all levels for over twenty years in New York, Boston and New Hampshire.  Ana continues to further her dance education locally and in Boston and New York. She is a licensed Zumba instructor, part of the Zumba Instructor Network (ZIN) and has extensive experience in choreography.  Ana has loved bringing her love of teaching dance to the wider Capital Area with ten years of the McKenna Dance Center! The McKenna Dance Center is a proud I.D.E.A. (International Dance Entrepreneurs Association)school, committed to age-approporiate movement, music and costuming.

 

Missy Hamel

Co-Director

Missy Hamel has been at the McKenna Dance Center for ten years.  Growing up in a local studio, Missy fell in love with dance and theater and soon developed a special talent for bringing out the very best in our tiniest performers! Specializing in our "littles," Missy directs the pre-school program and our wildly popular Musical Theater program, which brings students ages 5 and up together in song, dance and acting in a fantastic, low-pressure environment.  In 2015, Missy was promoted to Co-Director of the McKenna Dance Center.

Lynn Vasseur

Tap, Jazz, Contemporary

Lynn Vasseur has been with McKenna Dance Center for three years. She has trained in dance for over 20 years and has been sharing her passion by teaching various styles for over 12 years at different studios throughout New England. She is proud alumni of  Dean College in Franklin,  MA, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2009. Among training in many dance styles she has also extensively studied kinesiology,  pedagogy, and anatomy and physiology. Her teaching career began while attending college and Lynn loves to also teach master classes throughout New England.  Lynn is an award-winning choreographer at the regional and national levels.  She is thrilled to share her knowledge and love of movement with you, and we are lucky to have her as part of the MDC family!
